Cullingworth, W Yorkshire 2nd-5th May 2014
Nestling in a valley, Hewenden and Bent’s Mill have been lovingly restored by Janet and John Emmanuel. The area offers wonderful walks, through woods following the stream, across meadows with views stretching to the moors, over the spectacular viaduct.
Accommodation is in single rooms, each with a view of the valley, and each room luxurious. The houses and apartments have been designed with comfort in mind, with spacious living rooms and beautifully laid out kitchens.
Home cooked meals are provided by our chef. Tea, coffee and cakes are never in short supply.
Places at Hewenden are restricted to 10 players. Guests are welcome to stay, to join us for meals and enjoy the surroundings while we work. There is a guest charge of £125.
The course ends with an informal concert that has become a fixture in the Stanbury Village calendar. The village is a 15 min drive from Hewenden and the concert venue is the tiny, chocolate box church of St Gabriel, set in the rolling hills of Bronte country. Locals abandon the pub to come and hear us, cakes are made, tea is brewed, and the event is always a happy one.
